At Smartfix we want you to be happy with every purchase. If you’re not satisfied, this Refund & Returns Policy explains how returns, refunds and exchanges work, what is eligible, and how to contact us.
Refund period
You may request a refund or return within 10 days from the date of delivery or collection. This 10-day period applies to most products unless otherwise stated on the product page.
Eligibility for returns
To be eligible for a return, items must:
- Be returned within the 10-day refund period.
- Be in the same condition as received — unused, unaltered and in the original packaging with all accessories, manuals and labels.
- Include the original proof of purchase (invoice or receipt).
Not eligible
The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:
- Consumables or perishable items once opened.
- Items clearly marked as final sale.
- Software or digital goods that have been downloaded or activated (unless faulty).
Faulty or damaged items
If your product arrived damaged or develops a fault during the refund period, contact us immediately at admin@smartfixtechnologies.co.za with:
- Your order number or proof of purchase.
- A description of the fault or damage.
- Photographs or video showing the issue (if available).
We will assess the issue and — depending on the situation — offer a repair, replacement, full refund or partial refund.
Change of mind returns
If you change your mind, you may return eligible items within the 10-day period. The item must be in the original condition and packaging. Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed.
How to request a return or refund
- Email admin@smartfixtechnologies.co.za with the subject line Return request — [Order #].
- Include your name, order number, reason for return and supporting photos if the item is faulty or damaged.
- We will reply within 2 business days with instructions and a returns authorization number (if required).
Note: Smartfix may refuse returns that do not comply with this policy.
Returns shipping
- For faulty or incorrectly supplied items, Smartfix will provide a prepaid return label or arrange pickup where practical.
- For change-of-mind returns, the customer is generally responsible for return postage unless otherwise agreed.
- Please securely package returned items — Smartfix is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit back to us if the customer arranges the return.
Refunds — method and timeframe
- Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method within 7–14 business days. The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment provider.
Exchanges
If you need an exchange (e.g., different size or model) please email admin@smartfixtechnologies.co.za. Exchanges are subject to product availability. If the requested exchange is more expensive, you will be asked to pay the difference; if it is cheaper, you will receive a refund for the difference.
Warranty claims
Some products include manufacturer warranties that extend beyond this 10-day refund period. Warranty claims should be handled according to the manufacturer’s warranty terms — Smartfix will assist where possible.
Privacy and data
Any personal information you provide during a returns request will be used to process the return or refund and handled according to our Privacy Policy.
